Fail-safe checklist when getting laser hair removal

Thursday, February 14, 2013

madisoninsider features a fail-safecheck-list by our Nad's Laser Clinic's, Regional Manager, Mariam Masri! When getting laser hair removal performed at Nad's laser clinic, we do not use IPL machines, we only use medical grade lasers, unlike genuine lasers, IPL devices are NOT RECOMMENDED for hair removal as they emit various high intensity pulses.

These IPL devices are designed for and better suited to delivering various skin treatments rather than laser hair removal. View our fact sheet on lasers.

Laser hair removal - Which laser is which?

Thursday, June 14, 2012
IPL, SIPL, VPL, Diode lasers, Yag lasers, Alexandrite lasers - To me they're all just a bunch of scientific terms that I'm never going to remember, but what I will remember are the results of the laser hair removal treatment in the end.

So what’s the difference between the lasers? Is there a difference? Which one's right for me? These are all valid questions and quite simple to answer through our Laser Hair Removal Fact Sheet.

If you want to know which laser is best suited to your needs you can complete the Nad's Fitzpatrick Skin type assessment (scale from I fair skin to VI very dark skin) by clicking here.

If you are uncertain of your skin type, call Nad's Clinic to arrange a FREE Consultation.
Our laser clinics are located at Sydney, Parramatta, Burwood, Castle Hill and Waringah Mall.

Messed up Brazilian laser hair removal – What to look out for!

Friday, June 01, 2012

A recent article written by Natasha Hughes in The Sydney Morning Herald, titled “Laser danger and botched Brazilians” prompted me to think about how we could inform our client base on what to look out for when arriving at your appointment with your chosen laser hair removal clinic.

As I kept reading, I noticed Ilesha Haywood’s comment on how poor the standards are in the industry with medical-grade treatments such as laser hair removal - and to say the least it’s no wonder women right around the world prefer to stick to more traditional methods of hair removal.

The problem at most places is that a proper skin analysis isn’t carried out in the first place and clients aren’t given the appropriate treatments.” – Ilesha Haywood

Our objective at Nad’s laser clinics is to further excel in the "Best Practice" clinical health standards in each of our five laser hair removal clinics located at Sydney, Parramatta, Burwood, Castle Hill and Waringah Mall.

Why is it important to use Medical Grade Lasers for Hair Removal?

Laser Hair Removal: Difference Between Lasers and IPL Technology

Thursday, February 09, 2012

Lately, there had been a massive increase in Laser Clinics.  Competition became tougher that it became a price war in the industry.  It might sound like a boon for the consumers, but sadly many became victims of the improper use of lasers.  There was an increasing number of complaints of people getting burned, getting infections from open wounds and other laser horror stories as reported in a "A Current Affair".  Read More...

What is Laser Hair Removal?

Monday, February 06, 2012

In general, a laser hair removal equipment operates within a very specific wavelength.  It is specifically optimised to target the hair follicle. The hair follicle absorbs the laser energy that travels to the root and destroys the follicle so hair re-growth is impeded.  Read More...
